Amanda Eddy

Director of Care

Experience:

I joined Care4uwe in 2017 following working for a large support provider based in London for 15 years, during this time I gained my skills and experience to work in the support sector through excellent training and extensive management development.
I was attracted to my present role as Director of Care for Care4uwe as this is a family owned and managed business, since joining the organisation we have achieved sustained growth and development of the business to our present status as one of the largest supported living services in the Reading and Wokingham area.
Care4uwe is a successful business that I am proud to be part of, the care of our customers is always our priority and we have built a strong resilient Staff Team that has worked with our Management team to develop and grow our business.

Hobbies and Interest
Being Welsh I am an avid Welsh Rugby Supporter and attend as many international matches as I can at the national Stadium.

I have six grandchildren and my family are the most important thing in my life, any spare time is spent with my husband and my family.

I love travel and have extensively travelled to many places and in particular the Caribbean, cruising is a new passion for me and one I intend to do a lot more in the future.

Why I work in Health and Social Care

I started working in the sector as I had a family member with learning disabilities, I truly believe that every customer I work for deserve the best that life can offer them, with high performing staff and service delivery.

Services should be based on quality and not profit, whilst every business needs to make a profit to grow and develop, we at Care4we believe that the quality of the services we deliver is paramount to everything we do and as a family-owned business this will never change.
